Surviving the deep freeze?

I hope everyone is getting through this deep freeze with minimal impact! We had a bit of an issue this morning with a frozen pipe in the garage, which is where our water supply to the greenhouse starts. We've just about got it thawed out, though, so everything will be fine. It could have been so much worse! If you saw the movie "The Martian" with Matt Damon, and remember the scene where he blows up the HAB and all of his potato plants instantly freeze because of Mars' atmosphere, you'll understand the thoughts that kept running through my mind last night :( However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got out to the greenhouse this morning, and everything was working as it should be. To think we can be growing beautiful, delicious, healthy vegetables in this type of weather is pretty amazing. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and for all of you that support us!

I'm very excited to announce the new addition of Broccoli microgreens to our line-up! They are so yummy! I'll have them available, along with sweet pea, radish, chive, kale and basil microgreens, and a few varieties of freshly harvested aquaponically grown lettuce, this Saturday at the Oakdale Indoor Market from 9 am to 1 pm. Microgreens are so nutritious and delicious, and much easier to use than I anticipated. Not just for salads anymore!

A new event for us is the Galentine's Sip 'n' Shop at Northtown Mall on Saturday, February 9th from 12 pm to 4 pm. We'll be fully stocked with all of our microgreens, as well as different varieties of lettuce. There will be some great vendors there offering wonderful items. We hope you'll come and check out this event.

If you're ever interested in learning about any of our products, or our processes, or finding out how you can get your hands on our produce, send me a message or give me a call. I'm sure we can work something out!

Hoping you stay warm and safe! Have a great day!
